Creating Value in Company Headshots with a Great User Experience

Updated: Sep 14, 2022

The things I value most about the professional services I commission are the quality of the work produced and the professionalism of the providers I choose. I give every individual I photograph the same level of care and concern that I would want for myself in that situation.

Whether they admit it or not, everyone enjoys being fussed over. By proving to each person, I photograph I value their professional image as much as they do. They feel much more confident and comfortable in front of the camera. Sometimes all it takes is to brush the lint from their shoulder (sometimes, there’s no lint; I just make a show of it to prove I care).

The trust I earn by taking a few extra seconds to treat each person well translates into much better photos. At the end of my shoots, everyone is thrilled because they’ve gotten the best photos ever. Usually, they can’t say enough good things about their experience, which reflects very well on the person who hired me.

Teamwork to Wow Your Constituency.

As the person responsible for getting company headshots, you have to answer not just to your boss but to every person who is photographed. And your boss's boss is probably going to be one of them. Your professional reputation is at stake. The last thing you can afford is to disappoint all of your coworkers with bad headshots.

I feel the user experience is just as important to the people I photograph as the authenticity of their expressions. This is why I like to bring my hair and makeup artist, Sarah Brohmer, with me on location for company headshots.

Sarah and I are a great team and have great chemistry. Our personalities and strengths complement each other perfectly.

An outstanding HMUA (Hair and Makeup Artist), Sarah is a licensed cosmetologist and has been doing professional hair and makeup for cinema, video, and photography for 20 years. She taught other makeup artists how to do this for 8 of those years. So, her qualifications are as impeccable as her sense of style.

When we’re on a company headshot shoot, she prepares the people to be photographed. You’d be surprised at how good people feel about having someone smooth their hair, add powder to reduce shine or straighten their tie just before they step in front of the camera.

This adds great value to the quality of the images because everyone looks their best. The greatest value she adds for company headshots is in helping your coworkers and superiors prepare to be photographed both mentally and in their appearance. She helps people feel good about how they look, which boosts their confidence dramatically, which shows in their photos.

Sara’s talent for relationship building is at least equal to my own. resulting in a whole bunch of really happy people who can’t say enough good things about the experience.

The value you get from your company's headshots will be measured by the approbation of your peers. My team will make you the most appreciated person in your company.
